Have we explored everything in the place we live?
All of us were born and raised in a hometown that we’re familiar with the entire time. But there’s much more to find out other than just roaming around the same locations during our busy schedule.
Whenever the itchy feet are kicking in, we usually cross states or go overseas for broader discovery, no one thought of checking out their neighbourhood or places nearby.
The Covid-19 pandemic has tremendously hit us all, but it also allows us to take a step back from our buzzing lifestyle and focus on our inner quality. The same thing applies to our travel lifestyle too. Instead of spending so much money to journey far, we’re forced to abide by the restrictions and traverse within our region, which could lead to a new way of adventure.
With that, we run ‘Nearcation Campaign’ to ease up your vacation in the adjacent places with an array of hotel options available. And the fact is you can buy now, travel later, and get BIG SAVINGS. If you haven’t read the previous article on some 5-star hotels that we acquire in this campaign, do feel free to check them out.
The offer only lasts from 19th April 2021 to 2nd May 2021 (it’s ending soon), so you’ve got more reason to speed up your reservations before it’s too late.
The cities that are available for the Nearcation Campaign consist of Langkawi, Penang, Ipoh, Melaka (Malacca), and Kuala Lumpur. Today, we’re going to uncover things to explore in these cities so that your staycation would be more interesting than expected.
Langkawi

As one of the famous travel destinations, Langkawi, or also known as the Jewel of Kedah, is an archipelago of 99 islands in the Malacca Strait of northwestern Malaysia. It’s a place surrounded by turquoise waters and people visit there for several attractions. For instance, beach activities, island hopping, landscape scenery, marine and wildlife exploration, and local dishes are the common reasons tourists flock towards Langkawi. Let’s not forget to mention that the duty-free shopping perks with cheaper alcohols and chocolates are the bonus to spend your holiday in this district.
We’re currently working with Vivanta Langkawi in Rebak Island on this Nearcation Campaign. Feel free to check them out if you’d like to enjoy our limited-time offer.
Penang

Here’s another not so unfamiliar state in Malaysia for you. Penang, or ‘The Pearl of The Orient’, is a broad-ranging city with a less hectic lifestyle which could be a suitable hideaway destination for the locals. Being composed into island and mainland, Penang is famous for several features such as food and travel spots (everywhere in Penang), heritage architecture (mostly in Georgetown), arts and culture (mostly in Georgetown), beach areas (mostly famous in Batu Ferringhi, Tanjung Bungah, and Gertak Sanggul) factory zone (Bayan Lepas area), and shopping spheres (everywhere in Penang). Thus, travellers usually spend more than a week just for Penang!
Below is the list of Penang hotels that partnered up with us in the Nearcation Campaign. You may choose any of them based on your convenience.

Ipoh
Ever heard of the famous bean sprout and salted chickens? Or the renowned Shredded Chicken Hor Fun and the taufufah are things that you’re dying for? Be proud as Ipoh is also one of the cities in our Nearcation Campaign.
Similar to Penang to some extent, Ipoh is popular for its food and travel attractions. On top of that, people usually travel there for the scenic view of limestone hills, caves, and temples for a different discovery.
For now, 3 hotels are collaborating with us and they will make your nearcation more eventful than you want it to be: Sunway Lost World of Tambun Hotel, The Haven All Suite Resort Ipoh, and Travelodge Ipoh.
Melaka (Malacca)

Another iconic city on the list goes to Malacca. Situated on the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia, Malacca is also circulated by heritage buildings. Nonetheless, they portray different vibes as they were colonized by three European countries before- Portuguese, Dutch, and British. If street arts, Chicken Rice Ball, museums, religious locations, and transportation are things that you’d like to enjoy during your break (you’re too busy to appreciate them in daily life), this Nearcation campaign would be a good opportunity for you to satisfy your needs.
Stay with Hotel Semabok Inn as it’s the hotel in Malacca that’s listed under our campaign. Hurry up if you’re interested as they offer limited rooms only!
Kuala Lumpur

Apart from that, it’s a neighbouring city to many other popular places such as Petaling Jaya, Subang, and Shah Alam.
Here are six of the hotels in KL that you could enjoy with our Nearcation Campaign.
1. Cititel Midvalley
2. Oakwood Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur
3. Novotel KLCC
4. The Gardens- A St Giles Signature Hotel & Residence
5. The Nomad Serviced Residences Bangsar
6. The Scapes Hotel
Curbing yourself by just staying grounded at home can have its downsides. While preserving safety is essential at the moment, maintaining a healthy mental condition is equally important too. Visiting nearby places at a reasonable frequency is still a minimum enjoyment we could partake in this difficult time as long as we follow the SOPs enforced by the authorities.
If you need assistance when making travel plans, you are welcomed to either consult us or reach out to GIT Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd as well. We hope you have a fruitful trip in the upcoming days. Stay safe and don’t forget to grab this golden opportunity while you still can!
