Since the coronavirus outbreak, the Government and Tourplus have collaborated to create, develop and launch apps to help the Malaysian tourism industry.

Go Selangor App is an application developed by Tourplus Technology and supported by Tourism Selangor to transform and digitize the tourism industry in the Selangor region. Go Selangor app is to help local merchant to promote their tourism or travel-related product through this platform. This app also was developed through a strategic collaboration between Tourism Selangor and Tourplus; this will help accelerate the tourism industry’s recovery from the pandemic. The Covid-19 outbreak wreaked havoc on various sectors, including tourism, severely affected traditional businesses facing significant challenges. E-commerce is multiplying, and many people are getting involved in digital business, and of course, digitalization of all businesses in the future trend and inevitable trend of the industry.

GO SELANGOR APP OFFICIAL LAUNCH

SHAH ALAM, April 14 — Tourism Selangor and Tourplus Technology SDB BHD has launched the ‘Go Selangor’ application to provide tourists full access to tourism products and revive the Selangor tourism industry. The application helps to onboard the local merchant to sell their product.

State Selangor, Environment Green Technology, and YB Tan Hee Loy Sian said His team’s efforts to digitize Selangor’s tourism industry culminated in developing the official Selangor tourism application, Go Selangor App. Also, He said the application served as a ‘one-stop service’ for various merchants to encourage tourists to explore the exciting locations in Selangor.

Go Selangor Application will help the inbound and outbound tourists explore Selangor State in fingertip.

Tourplus, a personalized travel platform, is an online travel agency (OTA) that provides a digital local travel guide (certified driver guides and customizable itineraries with reviews available to ease tourists’ user experience) to tourists.
