Pahang – Must Visit Places

Pahang is a major Malaysian state on the peninsula. It is noted for its mountains, jungles, and beaches, especially Tioman Island’s white sands and coral reefs off the east coast. Kuantan, the state capital, has a significant seaport. The Cameron Highlands, in the west, are home to resorts, tea plantations, and terraced farms, while Fraser’s Hill town is reminiscent of an English hamlet.

Chin Swee Caves Temple is a Taoist temple located in Genting Highlands on a 28-acre stretch of rocky forest ground, where locals come for religious rites and to enjoy the peaceful ambience. It was built in memory of Reverend Master Chin Swee, a Buddhist monk from Fujian Province known for his ability to conjure rain and ward off bad spirits.

In recent years, BOH Tea Centre Sungai Palas in Brinchang, Cameron Highlands, has become a famous tourist attraction and a must-see attraction. The Sungei Palas Tea Facility is known for its mesmerising tea gardens and panoramic views from the tea centre, which is home to BOH Plantations, Malaysia’s largest tea producer. The iconic 20-foot overhanging balcony of the Sungei Palas Tea Centre, which also serves as a viewing deck, is a sight to see while enjoying a cup of tea.

Bukit Tinggi Bentong is a tiny town in Pahang, Malaysia’s Bentong district. This little town, located along the Kuala Lumpur–Karak Expressway, is known for its well-known restaurants, which attract visitors from Genting Highlands. The buildings are inspired by European castles, giving visitors a unique experience in Malaysia. Colmar Tropicale, a French-themed town, is located in the town itself.

Taman Negara is a big national park on the Malay peninsula in Malaysia. It is home to a vast tropical rainforest estimated to be 130 million years old. The major access point, Kuala Tahan, serves as a base for surrounding canopy walkways, river cruises, and jungle climbs to the summit of Mt. Tahan. Tigers, macaques, and birds, as well as the massive blooms of the rafflesia plant, call the park home.

Mossy forest is a type of natural habitat found exclusively at the highest elevations of the Cameron Highlands and other Malaysian mountain ranges. Low-level clouds in the sky, driven by winds, bathe the forests in a continual mist and dampness, producing a perfect biotope for moss, ferns, lichen, and orchids at such altitudes.

Lavender Garden (also known as Cameron Lavender) is located on the major road between Tringkap and Kuala Terla villages. And it’s 9 kilometers from Brinchang town. All tourists to Cameron Highlands should visit to Big Red Strawbery Farm. The town of Brinchang is within walking distance. It’s more than simply a farm with everything it has to offer tourists,  enjoying a nutritious food and drink at their café. The gaems and rides at Big Red Strawberry Farm are suited for visitors of all ages, and the youngsters will love them undoubtedly.

One of the eight MARDI Agricultural Research and Innovation Centres is Agrotechnology Park. In keeping with the station’s theme, ‘Centre for Sustainable Highland Agriculture,’ its research activities are primarily focused on highlands agriculture. The English Garden, Herb Garden, Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, research centre, and information centre are the six primary sections. Tourists may also buy gifts at the information centre.

Cactus Point is one of Cameron Highlands’ oldest flower nurseries, stocking and selling a wide range of cacti as well as native and exotic plants, some of which are adaptable to lowland circumstances and others which are entirely highland in character. Orchids, ferns, pitcher plants, Tillandsia (air plants), Venus fly traps, Geraniums, and baby cactus are also popular flora items.
