Perak – Must Visit Places

Perak is a northwest state in Peninsular Malaysia. Ipoh, the capital city, is notable for its British colonial architecture, which includes a baroque railway station. Sam Poh Tong, on the other hand, is a massive Buddhist cave shrine with beautiful artwork on the walls. Additionally, Gopeng is a popular rafting destination on the Kampar River. Pangkor Island is located just off Peninsular Malaysia’s west coast. It is a fishing community whose major source of income came from the fishing industry, with the fresh catch from the Strait of Malacca primarily sold to Peninsular Malaysia. 2. Taiping Lake Garden

Taiping Lake Gardens is the first public garden established during the British rule in Malaysia. The gardens were created in 1884 on a 60+ hectare site of abandoned tin mines on land donated by wealthy tin miner and rubber planter, Chung Keng Quee. Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan(Malay: Menara Jam Condong Teluk Intan) is a clock tower in Teluk Intan, Perak’s Hilir Perak District. It is Malaysia’s answer to Italy’s world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower, like the Tower of Pisa, is inclined to the left.
