Tourplus Travel Insurance

1. What is this product about?

This policy provides compensation in the event of death, disability and injuries, caused solely by violent, accidental, external and visible events occurring during domestic or inbound travelling within the period of insurance.

2. What are the Covers / benefits provided?

Basic Cover benefits are:

i) Accidental Death & Permanent Disablement 

ii) Medical Expenses (due to accident only) 

Premium Package – Optional cover benefits are: 

iii) Evacuation & Repatriation 

iv) Journey Cancellation 

v) Baggage Delay (by flight only) 

vi) Loss of Baggage and Personal Effect 

vii) Personal Liability 

viii) Golf Equipment (theft & damage only) 

Note: * Please refer to the scale of benefits for death and disablement in the sample policy contract.

3. How much premium do I need to pay?

Basic Cover as per table below:

If the Insured opts for Premium Package Optional Cover (Total premium RM40 per person per sum insured of RM10,000)
An additional premium of RM36 per insured person is to be paid on top of the Basic Cover premium.
eg. If you purchase the cover for 1-3 days and with Premium Package, the total premium payable is RM4+RM36 = RM40 per person.

4. What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?

  • Importance of Disclosure – You must disclose all material facts that you know or ought to know such as your personal pursuits and medical condition which could affect the risk profile; otherwise your policy may be invalidated. 
  • Cash Before Cover – Full premium must be paid and received by us before the effective date of the policy. If this condition is not complied with then this insurance policy is automatically null and void. 
  • Claim Procedure – Notice of Injury must be given in writing to Company within thirty (30) days after the date of the accident causing such injury.
  • No premium refund is allowed once the policy is issued. **This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the policy contract for the terms and conditions under this policy.
  • Cover Age groups between 30 days – 80 years old

5. What are the major exclusions under this policy?

This policy does not cover: 

  • War, civil war, acts of foreign enemy and related risks including riot or civil commotion;
  • Radioactive and nuclear weapon material accidents; 
  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and/or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV);

6. Can I cancel my policy?

Yes, but there will be no refund of premium allowed once policy is issued.

7. What I need to do if there are changes to my contact details?

  • Fill in personal particulars of all the Insured
  • Calculate the insurance premium
  • Make payment to
