People have been ranting about how excruciatingly boring it is for them to not travel since early 2020. It’s the first month of 2021 and we are still expecting the travel restrictions to last until mid-year, or worse, December.

Travel is always the best Dopamine for our mental health, but it’s been confiscated temporarily, thanks to the pandemic (sarcasm intended). While travelling overseas is almost impossible at the moment, there are still chances to go domestically when it’s allowed (with SOPs applied). One of the travel attractions in Malaysia that the locals would aim to go to is definitely Langkawi.

Langkawi, or also known as the ‘Jewel of Kedah, refers to the district and an archipelago of 99 islands on the West Coast of Malaysia with the beautiful natural landscape, parks, and iconic architectures. Langkawi Sky Bridge

You may have heard of another notable attraction in Langkawi- Sky Car. At the end of the cable car ride, sets a 125-meter curved pedestrian cable-stayed bridge on Mount Machinchang- Langkawi Sky Bridge. Although being 2,300 ft above ground level, the bridge is completely safe for visitation as it’s made up of double steel railings and an enclosed wire mesh. Since 2015, they added SkyGlide as another transportation service that takes passengers from the top station to the bridge itself. If you are looking for an adventurous and sight-seeing experience, Langkawi Sky Bridge is a touristy station that you should explore as well.

Being classified as one of the most famous myths in Langkawi, the story of this place narrates about a pretty maiden who was falsely accused of committing adultery which in return caused her death. In her last breath, she cursed the land with seven generations of bad luck which brought some negative impacts to Langkawi for approximately 200 years. The legend has spread across the nation to the international level, hence many foreigners came and visited the museum whenever they set foot in Langkawi.
