The one-way bus fare per adult for both buses above will be approximately around MYR 4 (Airport- Teluk Bahang) and MYR 2.70 (Airport- Penang General Hospital).

Taxi/Grab Pick Up & Drop Off Service

Grab drivers are always available on demand. However, there are no specific rates for the Grab charges as the price solely depends on the destination you are going to.  As for the taxi services, the counter is in the arrivals hall. All you need to do is to confirm your destination with the airport staff and they will issue a voucher to you. Once it’s done, you may proceed to the taxi stand and the taxi driver will issue a counterfoil to confirm the journey as they send you off to your destination. The fare is based on your destination zone, and there are 7 different zones. Zone 1 costs around 14 Ringgit, Zone 2 will cost around RM22 and Zone 5 to George Town will cost around RM38 (All journeys come with a 50% surcharge if the trip takes place within the timeframe of 12am- 6am).

If you rent a scooter or motorbike to travel around the island, it’s also possible to get to the airport or travel out of the airport through these vehicles. Places to hire one are such as Chulia Street and Penang Road (17km/ 10.6 miles from the airport) with approximately MYR 25 per day (Deposit of MYR 200 applied).
