8. Aquaria KLCC

7. Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is located in the serene Lake Gardens. KL Bird Park is an eco-tourism site that houses more than 3,000 birds of 200 species. Birds are divided into four zones; three of the zones are free-flight as the birds are free to fly wherever they want in surroundings that resembles their nature.

6. Menara KL Tower

The Menara KL Tower, which stands over 335 meters (1,100 feet) tall, serves two roles. The first is a communication tower while the second being the tourist attraction, complete with a revolving restaurant and observation deck that provides breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur.

5. Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square is known as Independence Square and it’s been here since Malaysia gained its independence from the United Kingdom in 1957. The plaza is primarily a grass area, which was once used by cricket players, and is flanked by some of the city’s most notable structures, including the National History Museum and the Royal Selangor Club.

4. Batu Caves

Thousands of Hindus visit Batu Caves every year to celebrate Thaipusam, a Hindu festival in which Hindus carry heavy objects such as jugs and hooks pierced into their bodies. The caverns can be reached through 272 steps walking up the stairs. At the top, tourists will see three large limestone caves as well as smaller caves filled with Hindu art and statues.

3. Thean Hou Temple

The Thean Hou Temple will find a little bit of China in Kuala Lumpur, since it is one of the largest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia.This temple is a popular spot to take wedding photos; the temple even has a marriage registration office for the newlyweds.
